I have spent my whole life suffering from asthma and allergies. I had pneumonia 11 times by the time I was 2 years old! I am allergic to EVERYTHING. I am allergic to every animal, tree, grasses, dust, molds and scents and my skin is also very sensitive and dry.
Not only did my lungs suffer, so did my skin. I was very sensitive to any soaps and lotions. I would get big dry patches on my face and body; my hands would crack so bad I seriously used to rub vaseline all over them and then put gloves on and sleep like that!! I lived this way until I was a young adult. I was raising pigs and decided to render their fats for cooking tallow. It felt so good on my hands. The next thing you know I am rubbing pig fat on my face! HAHAHA!! It felt amazing. I did a bunch of digging around and learned how to refine this process and make it amazing.
Fast forward 20 years…I still live on a farm. The barn is my favorite place to be!!! I make my tallow from my personal cattle raised by us. It is absolutely amazing. It is the only thing I can use that does not sting my skin. I use it in the morning and at night. In the winter months, I use it multiple times a day on my hands. I always have my hands in water, so my poor skin is always thirsty.
